Gentoo Media has reported Q3 2025 revenue of €22.7m, down 23% year-on-year, but marking a period in which it says structural optimisation and tighter cost control produced measurable gains in profitability.

The company said the quarter was partly affected by weaker sports margins in September, but the impact was outweighed by efficiency improvements from its right-sizing initiative completed in Q2.

Leadership framed the quarter as evidence that the organisation has transitioned to a more stable and disciplined operating paradigm.

EBITDA before special items rose to €9.3m, up from €8.4m in the previous quarter. The EBITDA margin reached 41%, reflecting what the company describes as a leaner structure and more consistent execution across the business.

Management said the firm’s simplified operating model is beginning to yield recurring benefits, with clearer accountability frameworks and stronger delivery discipline contributing to a more predictable cost base.

CEO Jonas Warrer said the company had taken deliberate steps earlier in the year to simplify and realign the organisation. He noted that the effects of these measures are now visible in improved margins and operational momentum.

Gentoo Media described the quarter as the first to clearly show the results of the strategic realignment launched in the first half of 2025, citing measurable efficiency gains across multiple departments.

Streamlined operations bring strong results

The company pointed to margin expansion driven by organisational simplification and a stabilised cost structure.

Gentoo added that it is entering the fourth quarter with a more efficient organisation positioned to capitalise on peak-season activity and to maintain operational traction into 2026.

Post-quarter indicators were described as strong. October revenue was 15% higher than September, and early November performance was tracking even further ahead.

Management said these trends support confidence in the remainder of the year.

Gentoo Media maintained its full-year 2025 outlook for revenue and EBITDA but increased its guidance for free cash flow from operations, citing stronger cash conversion.

The updated range is €31m-34m, up from the prior €27m-€30m. Full-year revenue is projected at €100m-€105m, with EBITDA before special items expected at €40m-€43m.

The company anticipates sustaining an EBITDA margin between 40% and 41%, reflecting what it views as the effects of its restructuring and the resulting operational efficiency.
