Phil Pearson announced today (23 June) he has resigned as CEO of White Label Casinos.
The executive has led the B2B iGaming supplier since its launch in February 2023, when it split from iGaming Group.
Prior to becoming CEO, Pearson had served in a variety of positions at iGaming Group, most recently as the company’s chief operating officer.
In a LinkedIn post announcing his resignation, Pearson said: โIn 2017 I started as Head of Sales and AM, way over my head, and spent the next year working every hour in the calendar to try and learn as much as possible.
โThen realised it wasn’t enough and noticed this industry changes faster than you learn it. Fast forward to 2023 and WLC was born in a company split and I had the privilege of running it until last week.
โOver the weekend I tried to think back as to what the highlights were. Obviously there are a few fiscal ones, the victory against the Swedish regulator, GGR milestones, but mostly for me it comes down to memories with the people who make up the core of what we stood for.
โUnlike so many companies I tried to promote the ethos of inclusion, internal promotion, knowledge sharing and growth, from the first day to my last (Game of thrones quotes why not).โ
Pearson, who will be on a sabbatical for the next few months, did not say what his next project would be, but said he plans to weigh up several options.
He added: โWhat am I going to do now? Im going to watch cricket for 3 months. After 9 non stop years (other than 2 weeks in Mexican hospital) its time for a break. I’ll do some light help on the sides for a couple of people who asked, but nothing serious. Then I’ll weight up some options.
โIt sounds weird, but a small part of me wants to just own an animal sanctuary or a sandwich shop. Or both. Just with very defined food safety guidelines.
โI used to say it’s not a family, it’s a well functioning sports team. I was wrong. It is a family. But not one you’re forced to love. One you choose to and you can’t help not.โ
