The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) has launched Mission 2030, a comprehensive five-year strategy aimed at reinforcing its global leadership in safeguarding sports betting integrity.

Coinciding with its 20th anniversary, the initiative also marks the introduction of a modernised brand identity that underscores the association’s expanding international influence.

Mission 2030 establishes a clear framework built on three core objectives.

First, it seeks to enhance the IBIA’s Global Monitoring & Alert Platform (Global MAP), which tracks suspicious betting activity and supports investigations into integrity threats.

Second, it aims to expand collaboration across the global sports ecosystem by strengthening relationships with operators, regulators, sports bodies, law enforcement agencies and educational institutions.

Third, it focuses on advancing prevention through regulatory reform, policy engagement and player education initiatives.

The association said the strategy acts as its roadmap for the next five years.

This will provide direction while maintaining the flexibility to respond to an evolving landscape influenced by technologies such as artificial intelligence, cryptocurrency, and the growth of esports.

Specific actions and tactical programmes will be developed in conjunction with IBIA’s members to ensure the body remains innovative, adaptive and proactive in identifying and mitigating integrity risks.

New brand identity emerges

IBIA has also revealed a redesigned logo as part of its refreshed brand identity.

The new emblem features six interwoven segments symbolising the principal stakeholders involved in maintaining betting integrity: operators, sports organisations, regulators, law enforcement, athletes and institutions.

The accompanying strapline, “Safeguarding Sports Betting,” encapsulates the association’s renewed commitment to protecting both sports and consumers within regulated markets.

IBIA CEO Khalid Ali stated that Mission 2030 represents both reflection and progression, signalling IBIA’s determination to continue delivering world-class integrity services while adapting to the industry’s shifting dynamics.

He said: “Our new strategic roadmap charts how we will continue to deliver best in class integrity services to our members, deepen collaboration with our partners, and successfully confront the challenges and opportunities reshaping our industry.”

Ali added that the updated branding goes beyond aesthetics, serving as a “key building block” for the new strategic vision and embodying the association’s forward-looking mission.

The launch follows the publication of IBIA’s most recent data, which identified 63 cases of potentially suspicious betting activity during the first quarter of 2025.

This figure indicates a marginal 3% decrease compared to the preceding quarter but an 11% increase year-over-year from 57 alerts recorded in the same period of 2024.
