What Is Stake.us Showdown
Stake.us Showdown is a new poker tournament that has been active on this platform since October 5 and will last until December 31. It consists of 4 “Steps” or events with escalating entry fees and rewards. In the final step, players can receive a portion of the 100K SC prize pool.
The first step has an SC 0.50 entry fee. The second and third require buy-ins of SC 10 and SC 100, respectively. Finally, you need SC 1,000 to enter Stake Showdown, the flagship online event with a SC 100,000 prize pool.
Players can skip the first three steps with a direct SC 1,000 seat in the Stake Showdown, or buy into a later step instead of qualifying through the earlier ones.
Players who start at Step 1 advance by winning each step, and each win earns a seat in the next one.
Each event, including the final one, has fields you must survive to reach the final table and play for the title. All events (step-based) are available in the Stake Poker tournament lobby.

Terms and Conditions
The terms and conditions for playing Stake.us poker events are the same as the General T&Cs, Card Room Rules, Poker Security and Ecology Policy, and Poker Refund Policy that apply in everyday poker play. They apply to all types of poker games on the platform, including those you can play during the events mentioned.
The most important general rules require players to complete KYC verification, where they confirm their identity, age, address, and source of funds. Customers must not use a VPN or play from a state where Stake.us is unavailable..
Stake.us also prohibits abuse of the promotion and illegal activity, including money laundering.
As for specific poker rules, it’s important to pay attention to the following three mini-sections:
Card Room Rules
Card Room Rules state that all poker games use a 52-card deck unless otherwise stated.
Additionally, these rules state that Stake.us may remove players from games, reset their balances, and calculate all numbers (wins, losses, plays). The first two cases refer to Stake.us noticing forbidden customer activity (e.g., using third-party software during games).
The section then covers buy-in rules, i.e., variations in table stakes from one table to the next that are stated beforehand.
Next, Stake.us points to the minimum return rate, saying that if you leave the table with your chip greater than your initial amount, you must not return with less than that (greater) amount.
General tournament principles are also important, informing customers on:
- Eliminations: a player collecting all chips and others being moved to other tables
- Breaks: around 5 minutes
- Connection issues: automatic folding, dealt cards with blinds/antes posted, and the “no agreement to sit out” rule
- Time bank: varying between players
- Bounty Tournament rules: collecting rewards for eliminating other players
- “All-in” tournament rules: All players’ hands are automatically “all-in”
- Gold Coins/Hold’em Stake Cash/Omaha Stake Cash Rake percentages: 7% for different blinds and Caps
- SC – AoF Hold’em/GC – AoF Hold’em: Varies depending on the blinds
- SC – Next!/GC – Next: 7% for different blinds and Caps
- Game commencement: Starting with players immediately to the left
- Initial deal and first round: Calling, folding, raising, and checking
- Showdown: Final round of play or only when more than one player is left
- Determining winners: Best hand in different poker versions
Poker Security and Ecology Policy
Stake.us is a valued sweepstakes casino, with specific compliance rules for monitoring games. This means players may not use auxiliary tools while playing poker, whether manual, semi-automated, or fully automated. Players may not use any physical or digital materials, websites, programs, or apps during poker gameplay.
Seeking less experienced players, hacking, circumvention, predatory behavior, and enhanced enforcement for VIP cash games and tournaments are also forbidden. This also includes chip dumping, hit-and-run, trespassing, account sharing, and data mining.
Poker Refund Policy
If a tournament is canceled before it begins, players will be refunded their entry or voucher (except for freerolls). If a tournament is canceled after it begins, players may receive a refund based on their chip count and whether they were eliminated (e.g., 50% of the prize pool).
These rules help ensure fairness and security at Stake.us, making it one of the best sweepstakes casinos. Needless to say, this casino also offers other poker promos and interesting features we encourage you to check out.
