How the Regal Coins Heatwave SC Tournament Works
Heatwave centers on featured slots and leaderboard points. Qualifying play earns points toward your position, with the final ranking determining which participants receive prizes.
Keep an eye on the leaderboard rather than just the points coming in. Sitting close to the next prize spot is very different from being buried behind the leaders. If that gap gets big, burning through more SC just to climb a few places becomes harder to justify.
There’s a catch here. The full prize table, points formula and minimum qualifying play aren’t currently shown on a publicly indexed Regal Coins page. Check those numbers on the live tournament page first. A crowded leaderboard looks very different once the points needed to move up are clear.
Regal Coins isn’t new to this type of competition. Its September Regal Gold Championship has nine eligible games, requires at least 10 GC in qualifying play and divides a 1,000,000 GC pool among the top 50 finishers.
What Can You Win in the Heatwave Tournament?
Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins aren’t equal prizes. GC stays on the social-play side of Regal Coins. Eligible SC winnings can eventually be redeemed for prizes, which gives the Heatwave leaderboard more weight than a tournament paying only Gold Coins.
The current redemption minimum is 100 eligible SC, equal to $100 in prize value. Keep that in mind when looking at smaller Heatwave prizes. A 25 SC or 50 SC finish, for example, wouldn’t be enough by itself to request a redemption.
Regal Coins hasn’t publicly confirmed the full Heatwave SC prize pool or position-by-position payouts on an indexed page. Check the live leaderboard for those numbers rather than borrowing from another Regal Coins tournament.
The September Gold Championship shows why. Regal Coins puts 120,000 GC of that tournament’s 1,000,000 GC prize pool into first place. Finish 31st through 40th and the reward drops to 8,000 GC. Heatwave pays in SC instead, so its own prize breakdown is the number worth checking before chasing a position.
Playing Heatwave Slots at Regal Coins
Regal Coins advertises 2,000+ games, with 451 from Hacksaw Gaming, 250 from BGaming, 206 from Evoplay and 186 from Betsoft. Most of that catalog is beside the point during Heatwave.
Tournament points come from the featured games. Regular SC play elsewhere in the lobby won’t help a leaderboard position, even if it’s a game you’d normally pick over the tournament lineup.
A favorite slot could be completely irrelevant to Heatwave. If it isn’t on the featured list, the play won’t move the tournament leaderboard. That makes the qualifying lineup far more useful here than Regal Coins’ headline game count.
A leaderboard isn’t the only route to promotional currency. Other ways to get free SC coins exist, and Regal Coins itself lets you enter sweepstakes without a purchase. Keep that in mind before treating extra tournament play as the only way to build an SC balance.
Regal Coins SC Rules to Know Before Playing
The standard Regal Coins requirement is 1x playthrough before promotional SC becomes eligible for redemption. Don’t assume that number applies to every special offer, though. Promotion-specific terms can change it, and Regal Coins can require as much as 20x.
Slots get full credit toward standard playthrough. Roulette and blackjack contribute just 10%, while video poker, baccarat, crash and Plinko contribute nothing. For a slot tournament such as Heatwave, that 100% slot contribution stands out.
New accounts start with 100,000 GC + 1 free SC. The optional packages make a much bigger jump in SC. The entry offer is $4.99 for 100 million GC + 10 promotional SC, while $24.99 gets 750 million GC + 50 SC.

Is the Heatwave SC Tournament Worth Entering?
Heatwave has something Regal Coins’ GC leaderboards don’t: Sweeps Coins prizes. That’s enough to make the standings worth a look.
How far away is the next paid position? That’s the better question. Someone already playing a featured slot and sitting within reach has a reason to keep checking the board. Starting well behind the leaders and spending extra SC purely to make up ground is a much tougher sell.
