First Details You Notice When You Load Heart of Tiki Slot
Heart of Tiki is one of those slots that reminds you of the numerous cultures out there. This one’s theme centers on Polynesian culture, set on a tropical island where a volcano is about to erupt. The nature-filled soundtrack reinforces the jungle setting while the carved masks and sacred totems add a mysterious element to the reels.
Speaking of the reels, this slot runs on a 5×5 grid with medium to high volatility and a 5,00x maximum multiplier. While playing, you’ll come across tropical-themed symbols like carved animals, drums, flowers, tropical fruits and tiki masks of different colors.
Key Features and Bonus Mechanics of the Game
Just like almost every other slot game available at the best social casinos, Heart of Tiki’s gameplay starts with a base game. In the base round, you only have to tap the spin button and hope to land a winning combination from left to right on any of the 50 active winlines. As you keep on spinning, you might land a Wild (the Erupting Volcano) symbol that substitutes for almost any symbol or a Scatter symbol that triggers the free spins round.

This brings us to the interesting elements of this 96.96% RTP game as discussed below:
- Free spins: Landing at least 3 Scatters on the reel after a spin activates the free spins round to give you 6 spins. When this bonus game begins, you’ll see a 1×1 Wild symbol that constantly moves to a random position every spin. If you then manage to land a 3rd scatter in the free spins round, you’ll receive 1-3 extra spins and the Wild Volcano symbol will also increase in size to 2×2, 3×3, 4×4 and 5×5, respectively. However, note that you can only retrigger free spins in the bonus game a maximum of 4 times, as we experienced in our Moonspin Casino review.
- Buy bonus: If you don’t want to wait for 3+ Scatter symbols to appear on the grid before manually triggering the free spins round, you can use the Buy bonus feature. After using the feature, your next spin will automatically land you between 3 and 5 Scatters so you can activate the bonus.
- Chance 2x: To make your gameplay more exciting, Heart of Tiki also has a 2x Chance feature. With this, you can increase the possibility of landing Scatters to trigger the free spins round. When this 2x chance feature is active, the RTP increases to 97%.
