Week 13 MNF News and Insights
The holiday cheer is well and truly on for the Patriots faithful, and it has been a long time since the team headed into Thanksgiving weekend with the number one spot in the AFC East and the AFC Conference. It has been a remarkable season for the team, and now it’s about finishing strong and securing the number one seed for the playoffs. While the Patriots did not have it as easy against the Bengals in Week 12, the team did rally well after a slow start and will aim to make a better start on Monday night at Gillette Stadium.
The visiting Giants side fell to another loss in Week 12 and now have a 2-10 record heading into Week 13. Off the back of the Week 12 loss in Detroit, where the team shipped 34 points to the Lions, DC Shane Bowen was relieved of his duties. This should be another tough ask for the faltering Giants side, but one positive was the performance from backup QB Jameis Winston, who had 366 passing yards and found his offense for 2 TDs. Should starting QB Jaxson Dart not pass concussion protocol for another week, Winston will hope to build on his recent performance and silence the Patriots faithful in Week 13.
