Before going on with this Zonko review, it helps to understand how it works, especially if you’re new to sweepstakes casinos. Zonko isn’t a real money online casino, and that’s an important distinction because instead of using cash, you play the games with virtual currencies known as Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins.
Gold Coins (GC)
are used for regular gameplay, and they serve no other purpose except for entertainment. You can’t redeem Gold Coins for real-world prizes, and they can’t be exchanged for Sweeps Coins. You can buy GC in bundles, but doing so is optional.
Sweeps Coins (SC)
are Zonko’s promotional virtual currency. Winnings from gameplay with Sweeps Coins can be redeemed for real rewards like cash prizes after meeting the site’s terms. Unlike Gold Coins, Sweeps Coins can’t be purchased and must be received through bonuses or promotions.
Most bonuses consist of both Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins, and we’ll share them with you in the next section of this review.

Access Zonko on desktop and mobile
When you register at Zonko using the banners on this page, you’ll receive a welcome bonus of 3,000 Gold Coins without having to provide a
Zonko promo code. This introductory bonus lets you try the sweepstakes casino’s offerings at no cost.
There’s also a special offer available if you decide to purchase a Gold Coin bundle. You can get 112,000 Gold Coins for $20. After the GC purchase, you’ll also unlock 75 free SCs as a bonus, along with a spin on the Infinity Wheel.
This doesn’t come all at once. You’ll instantly receive 60,000 Gold Coins and unlock 50 free Sweeps Coins. The remaining part of the offer comes via the Instant Powerboost feature. That’s 52,000 Gold Coins and 25 free Sweeps Coins split over the next 8 days as long as you log in daily.
That said, it’s worth pointing out that purchasing Gold Coins at Zonko is completely optional. You’re not required to spend a cent to play.

Usability of Zonko’s Website: Easy Access on Desktop and Mobile
One positive of our Zonko review is how easy the site is to use. There’s a fixed menu on the left with tabs that give you quick access to the main lobby, new games, promotions, your inbox and profile, GC store, and the help center. Your Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin balances can be found at the top of the homepage.
The games are also well-categorized into groups like the Top 10 titles in the US, Hot Slots, and Trending. There’s also a handy search bar to help you easily find any specific title you have in mind. Importantly, you’ll find quick links to the site’s responsible gaming tools at the footer. This lets you take a break or request for self exclusion for a minimum of six months.
There’s no native Zonko app in the Play Store or App Store, but the website works beautifully on mobile browsers. If you prefer playing on your phone, especially without manually typing in the web address, you can add the site to your home screen for quicker access.

Find more games option at Zonko
There’s a growing catalog of over 500 games you can play using Gold Coins or Sweeps Coins. This isn’t the biggest library yet, but the games are from top-tier developers that deliver engaging features and bonus rounds.
Like most sweepstakes casinos, slots are the mainstay here. You’ll find titles from providers such as Onlyplay, Playson, Print Studios, Red Tiger, Relax Gaming, and RubyPlay.
Zonko also highlights sections like Top 10 in the US, Hot Slots, Trending, and Hand Picked For You, which makes it easier to find a title you might be interested in playing. Some of the popular titles we spotted include Mad Hit Mr Coin, Diamond Explosion Double Luck, Mayan Cache, Bufon Fortuna, and Money Tree.
Zonko isn’t limited to slots alone. You’ll also find a selection of scratchcard games like 3 Kings Scratch and fish games, including Ka Fish Hunter and Fishing Expeditions. While all these options are superb, it’s always better to play responsibly and use the player support tools if needed.

Testing Zonko’s Customer Support
This sweepstakes casino’s customer support isn’t as impressive as the other sections. Some Zonko reviews have mentioned the lack of a live chat feature, and that’s indeed the case here. The only available options right now are the FAQ section if you’d prefer sorting any issues on your own, and email support.
Clicking on the support tab from the left-hand menu opens the FAQs section, where you’ll find answers on topics ranging from the type of games available and Sweeps Coin redemptions to Zonko’s legal states and other pertinent questions.
If you prefer email, you can reach the support team at support@zonko.com. Response times to email enquiries took 4 to 6 hours when we reached out, which is similar to the response time we’ve experienced at other sweepstakes casinos.

That said, if you want to top up your Gold Coin balance in addition to the free bonuses, you can purchase GC packages by clicking the “Buy Coins” tab. GC bundle rates start at $10 for 10,000 GC, and go up to $200 for 200,000 GC.
Zonko supports a decent range of payment methods, and you can complete your optional GC purchases using Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and online banking options. Gold Coin purchases are processed almost instantly.

Redeeming Sweeps Coins for Prizes
Sweepstakes casino gaming is all about fun, but it also comes with the advantage of redeeming your eligible SC for real prizes. To do this, a few criteria must be met, such as a 1x playthrough requirement and having a minimum balance of 50 Sweeps Coins for gift card redemptions or 100 Sweeps Coins for cash prizes. You also need to verify your identity by submitting a government-issued ID that matches the name used during your Zonko registration, along with a selfie.
As for processing times, Zonko typically processes SC redemption requests within 10 business days. That’s not the fastest we’ve seen, but it’s still at par with a few other sweepstakes casinos. It’s important to note that you can only submit one Sweeps Coin redemption request every 48 hours.
Is Zonko a Legit Sweepstakes Casino?
Yes, it is. From our findings, Zonko is a legit sweepstakes casino that complies with the US laws on sweepstakes gaming. For this reason, it can legally accept players who are at least 18 years old from 38 states. 13 states are excluded right now and they are California, Connecticut, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Tennessee, and Washington.
As part of this Zonko review, we went through Zonko’s legal documentation, including its sweepstakes rules, terms and conditions, and privacy policy. Everything was clearly laid out and free from vague details.
Responsible gaming is important to this sweepstakes casino as it gives you the option to take a short break or request self-exclusion if you want to step away for a longer time. To do either of these, you need to send an email to the support team. Bear in mind that after approval, self-exclusion can’t be altered for six months.
VIP Rewards and Additional Promotions at Zonko
Loyalty is rewarded at Zonko. The sweepstakes casino has a tiered VIP program with seven levels, starting at Blue and progressing to Diamond.
You’re automatically enrolled in the VIP program as soon as you complete your Zonko sign-up process, and moving up the tiers is by collecting Stars through missions, gameplay, and other promotions. Stars can also be used in the store for a chance to receive additional Sweeps Coins. You can easily track your progress from the VIP tab, which is a plus.
As you climb the VIP levels, you’ll receive more free Sweeps Coins, mystery gifts, and access to other better bonuses.
Here are other promos we found during our Zonko review.

Zonko offers daily bonuses for players who check in every 24 hours. You’ll typically receive a bonus that consists of Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins.
🗓️ Winfinite Wednesday

Zonko Is Off to a Great Start
Zonko may be a new social casino but its offerings far exceeded our expectations. The site is incredibly easy to use, the games are of great quality, and there are several generous bonuses to extend your free playtime. On top of that, you get access to a rewarding VIP program and you can redeem your Sweeps Coins winnings for real prizes when the terms are met.
A few features, like a live chat and live dealers, are yet to be offered, but that’s normal with new gaming sites. All other features are impressive and worth signing up for. If you want to give it a try, you can sign up through the Zonko links on this page, claim your free welcome bonus, and remember to play responsibly.
