How LuckyBuddha Works

As mentioned in our introduction, LuckyBuddha is a sweepstakes casino, and unlike regular online casinos, it doesn’t support real money gaming. Similar to our findings during our TurboStakes review, you’ll get to enjoy all the casino-style games in the lobby with virtual currencies called Gold Coins (GC) and Sweeps Coins (SC).

Both Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins have no real money value and work differently. Gold Coins are used strictly for fun gaming, while Sweeps Coins may be redeemed for real-life prizes after you meet the site’s terms. We’ll share more details about the SC prize redemption process later in this LuckyBuddha Casino review.

There’s a Two-part Welcome Bonus at LuckyBuddha

Sweepstakes casino games are always available on a no purchase necessary basis, and brands tend to offer two tiers of welcome bonuses to their new users. The first is the free to claim sign-up offer, and the second is a strictly optional first Gold Coin purchase offer.

That’s exactly the case here at LuckyBuddha. When you sign up from an eligible US state and verify your email address, we found you’ll receive the following welcome bonus with no upfront purchase required:

• 100,000 Gold Coins
• 2 free Sweeps Coins

After this, you’ll also be offered optional Gold Coin bundle purchases, with LuckyBuddha giving you three options to choose from, as follows:

• $19.99 GC bundle for 25% extra – Buy 250,000 Gold Coins and get 22 free Sweeps Coins
• $49.99 GC bundle for 30% extra – Buy 650,000 Gold Coins and get 60 free Sweeps Coins
• $99.99 GC bundle for 100% extra – Buy 2,000,000 Gold Coins and get 120 free Sweeps Coins

Do remember that all three GC bundles are entirely optional, and we found the no-purchase welcome offer to be quite generous. You can simply skip the first purchase offer if you’d rather enjoy the games using the free bonuses available.

Where Is LuckyBuddha Available?

At the time we wrote today’s LuckyBuddha review, we found that you can play its casino-style games in a good number of US states. A few exceptions exist, and LuckyBuddha is off-limits to players in the following states: California, Connecticut, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Tennessee, and Washington.

That makes LuckyBuddha available in 38 US states, a little more than what we found in our WiseSpin casino review, and quite honestly most other brands we’ve reviewed recently too. What’s more, you must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your state, whichever is higher, to sign up at LuckyBuddha.

LuckyBuddha Review of Its Game Selection: 1,000+ Entertaining Games

Experience live gameplay at LuckyBuddha

Enjoy the action with LuckyBuddha games

There are many positive points in this LuckyBuddha review, and the game collection is one of the site’s top areas. We found over 1,000 titles in the library from developers like BGaming, Betsoft, OnlyPlay, Peter & Sons, Dragon Gaming, Boldplay, and Jackpot Live Casino. The quality of games is impressive too. Here’s our review of the various casino-style games on offer:

Slots

LuckyBuddha has a large collection of reels, and there’s a good variety of what you can play. We enjoyed spinning everything from the classic 3-reel slots and hold and wins to Megaways, and jackpot slots. If you’re undecided on where to start, you can try top games like Mystery of Persia, Coin Express, Haunted Reels, Winter Fishing Club, and Fury Dragon Hold & Win.

Table Games

The table games section is also well represented, especially if you enjoy blackjack, poker, baccarat, and roulette. We spotted options like American Blackjack, Single Deck Blackjack, Deuces Wild, Baccarat, and American Roulette.

Scratch Card Games

LuckyBuddha Sweepstakes Casino has an intriguing collection of scratch card games, although these games can be found in the table games section. Depending on your preference, you can try Speed Heist Scratch, 3 Kings Scratch, Scratch Alpaca Gold, and a lot more. Remember though, that scratch card games don’t count towards meeting the 1x playthrough requirement for Sweeps Coin redemptions. So we often played them for fun using Gold Coins.

Instant Win Games

These titles are usually simple to understand and work well when you want quick rounds. Some examples from the lobby include Olympus Plinko and Dice Clash. Just like scratchcard games, instant-win titles don’t count towards the playthrough requirements.

Live Casino Games

If you like live games that feel a lot like a Vegas casino, this is where you should be at. It’s honestly one of the most entertaining parts of the game library after slots. All the titles in the live social casino section are currently from Jacktop Live Casino, and we’ve tried out all 14 titles including several versions of classic games like blackjack, poker, baccarat, and roulette. They all have friendly live hosts.

LuckyBuddha’s Safe and Reliable Payment Methods

LuckyBuddha doesn’t support real money gaming as you already know. So, payment methods only come in if you’ve chosen to purchase optional Gold Coin bundles or want to redeem your Sweeps Coins for real prizes after satisfying the terms.

To deliver a detailed LuckyBuddha review, we had to try everything out and leave no stone unturned. What we found is that the site sticks to safe and familiar payment options for GC purchases such as Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Venmo, and bank transfers.

GC bundles start at $2.99 for 10,000 GC and 3 free SC and go all the way up to 4 million GC and 330 free SC for $299.99. Some of the featured GC bundles also have themed names like Serenity Purchase, Peaceful Purchase, and Lucky Perks. Remember though, that it’s totally optional and you don’t have to buy a GC bundle to play on the site.

SC Prize Redemptions

Similar to what we experienced during our WinBonanza review, SC redemptions are possible as long as a few simple terms have been met. First, you need to have played through your Sweeps Coins at least one time, verified your account, and gathered up a minimum of 100 SC.

We should also mention that not all games contribute equally to satisfying the 1x playthrough requirement. Before our first SC redemption, we noticed that slots count 100%, table games and video poker count only 10%, while instant-win, arcade, keno, bingo, and scratch cards don’t count at all. That means any Sweeps Coins winnings from the excluded games can’t be redeemed for prizes.

With that being said, only cash prize redemptions are available, and we could get our real-world rewards via Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Venmo, or bank transfers. Other payment options take one to three business days, but bank transfers can stretch a little longer.

Finding Your Way Around LuckyBuddha’s Game Library

LuckyBuddha’s game lobby is very nicely put together. There are two different ways to browse through the game lobby; either by using the quick links at the left-hand side of the homepage, or by sorting what’s available by their specific tabs such as All Games, Slots, Table Games, Megaways, and Crash & Instant games.

There’s a handy search bar at the top that updates instantly as you type into it, which is perfect if you have a specific title in mind. We found the site’s color scheme easy on the eyes, even when playing for hours on end on mobile devices.

There’s no LuckyBuddha app right now, and they’re by no means essential since bookmarking LuckyBuddha’s main site in Safari or Chrome gave us quick access to the site. Also, the games played without glitches.

Testing the Customer Service for Our LuckyBuddha Review

The game library passes our checks for variety and quality, the bonuses are solid, and the site is navigable. But what about the support options for times when you need help, and how do they hold up?

In our opinion, customer service at LuckyBuddha is decent. There’s an FAQ section close to the footer, and email support is readily available. We could easily submit a ticket by clicking on the ‘Contact us’ tab. Responses via email came through in four hours on average, and the support team handled our query efficiently.

However, LuckyBuddha doesn’t get top marks from us due to the lack of a live chat feature at the time of this LuckyBuddha review. But the available methods are reliable and we had no issues using them.

VIP Rewards and Additional Promotions During This LuckyBuddha Casino Review

There are more promotions for players who decide to play often. We’ve covered more on this in our detailed LuckyBuddha bonus review, but here’s a brief summary to give you an idea of what to expect.

Daily Login Bonus

LuckyBuddha offers daily login bonuses through its unique Tranquility Ladder. You can check in every 24 hours to receive no fewer than 5,000 Gold Coins. The rewards can go up to 50,000 Gold Coins each day depending on your VIP rank.

Referral Bonus

Sharing is caring, and if you’ve got any friends who are interested in playing at no cost, you can invite them over. If they sign up using your referral link and go on to purchase a qualifying Gold Coin bundle, you’ll receive 25,000 Gold Coins and 5 Sweeps Coins for each referred friend.

Mail-in Request

Similar to our CrazyCoins Casino review, there’s a mail-in bonus that gives you two free Sweeps Coins. But you must send a handwritten request following the instructions on the site to the letter.

VIP Program

Although not a bonus on its own, the 10-tier VIP program comes with more benefits as you progress up the ranks. All players start at the first level – Copper, and you can accumulate VIP points through gameplay until you reach the top tier, Nirvana.

Some of the rewards include:

• Level-up bonuses
• Birthday gifts and monthly rewards
• Exclusive VIP tournaments
• VIP host and priority support

Is LuckyBuddha a Legit Sweepstakes Casino?

From our findings, we can say that this is a safe site to play on. LuckyBuddha is operated by Windstorm Tech LLC, a company based in Alabama. It also adheres to the US sweepstakes gaming model by letting users enjoy the available games at no cost using virtual currencies. As part of this LuckyBuddha review, we also went through LuckyBuddha’s legal documentation, including its sweepstakes rules, terms and conditions, and privacy policy. Everything was clearly laid out and free from vague details.

Responsible gaming is important to this sweepstakes casino as it gives you the option to set spending limits or request self-exclusion if you want to take time off gaming for a longer period. To do either of these, you need to contact the support team.

What’s more, we also found that LuckyBuddha runs on an SSL-encrypted site, and offers games powered by Random Number Generator (RNG) technology that ensures fair, randomized outcomes, too. This gets top marks from us.

Our Verdict? – Sign Up with LuckyBuddha for a Unique Gaming Experience

LuckyBuddha is a new, fun, mobile-friendly sweepstakes casino that offers premium slots, table games, and a good selection of scratch card games, instant wins, and live social casino games too. Having said that, the site’s customer support could be better with the addition of live chat for those urgent queries. That’s not a big issue, since email replies are reliable.

Do we recommend this sweepstakes casino? Absolutely. Particularly if you enjoy a premium selection of games, generous bonuses, and reliable Sweeps Coin redemptions.

If you’re curious to check out LuckyBuddha for yourself, you can visit the site using its corresponding banners on this page. Doing so gives you access to a welcome bonus of 100,000 Gold Coins and 2 Sweeps Coins for free.
