We have created this Webull review to make you aware of some important developments. In partnership with Kalshi, Webull now offers six categories of prediction markets alongside the other trading products on its website and apps.

Top WeBull Alternative for October

Just to make things a little clearer for you, the bulk of Webull’s event contracts are exclusive to the brand’s iOS and Android apps. However, a limited number of hourly event contracts can be traded on the website. Don’t be concerned if that sounds a bit confusing, we’ll explain as we walk you through all of Webull’s features.

No Webull Bonus for Prediction Markets

At the time of writing, there is no Webull bonus for prediction markets. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that one won’t be included in the future. The platform already has some incentives in place for other types of trading, so it remains a consideration.

It’s not out of the question for two reasons. First, other prediction market sites in the US are offering welcome bonuses, so it is possible to do so. Second, the competition is starting to grow, as our Moomoo review shows. So Webull may find itself starting to offer more predictions trading bonuses just to stand out from the crowd.

Webull’s Credentials and Kalshi Partnership

Webull is a long-standing trading site, which was first launched back in 2016. Since that time it has expanded globally and offers its trading products in the UK, Europe, Asia, and the US, of course.

Webull is a self-service online trading platform which offers stocks, ETFs, and options, with access to multiple indexes and various worldwide markets. In the US, Webull is registered with the CFTC, and the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) as well as being a member of the SIPC and FINRA.

Most recently, Webull has partnered with Kalshi, which is a CTFC-regulated exchange in its own right, to offer prediction markets alongside its existing trading products. A limited number of event contracts can be accessed on the main website, but the majority are only accessible via Webull’s mobile apps.

A Look at Webull’s Main Website

As you would expect from a professional trading platform, the homepage provides an overview of the trading products you’ll find there. Prediction markets haven’t been added to the homepage yet, but that’s sure to happen soon.

Navigation is via the main menu at the top of the page. While most of the options are more relevant to other types of trading products, we thought it was worth mentioning the ‘Webtrade’ link, which takes you to an open version of the Webull 9.0 trading interface.

The Webull 9.0 Interface

Although not directly related to prediction markets, taking a look at this will give you an idea of the level of detail Webull includes. A useful thing to know is that both NASDAQ and the S&P 500 index are referenced here, with real-time updates direct from the two exchanges, so if you plan to trade hourly event contracts related to those assets, you will find this information very useful.

Another thing we liked was that Webull provides a list of relevant news articles at the bottom of the interface, which are sure to come in handy as you research ahead of trading economic or crypto event contracts.

Incidentally, if you do want to try your hand at using the trading simulator, then click on the ‘Paper Trading’ icon on the left hand side. We rather hope that Webull will include a similar option for its prediction markets in due course.

The Webull Hub

The other menu tabs you are likely to use are the ‘Hub’ where you’ll find news articles, and access to the Webull Community where you can discuss all things trading with like-minded users.

Meanwhile, ‘Resources’ contains links to the Promotions page, upcoming and previous webinars, and the Webull ‘Learn’ section which provides various resources to help you get up to speed with different types of trading.

Finally, you’ll find prediction markets listed among the options under the ‘Trading & Investing’ tab, which we’ll be discussing a little later on in our Webull review.

Customer Support at Webull

The first thing you’ll see is an extensive FAQ section, which is divided into 12 parts covering everything from opening an account at Webull, to using advanced analytic tools.

Webull lists an email address and telephone number as ways to contact support, but there are no details of the hours the support team is available. Incidentally, what initially appears to be a chat icon in the bottom right hand corner, actually opens a pop up with a lengthy selection of accessibility tools.

Payment Methods at Webull

Like many trading sites, Webull has a short, but reliable list of payment methods to use: Visa or Mastercard debit cards, ACH bank transfer, and wire transfer. Whichever you choose, you’ll find a visit to the Help section worthwhile, as there are certain processes you’ll need to follow.

Visa or Mastercard Debit Cards

Using a debit card at Webull is more complex than the process we found during our DraftKings Predict app review. Your debit card must be linked to your Webull account before you can use it to make a deposit. Choose wisely, as only one debit card is allowed per account, and it must be in your own name.

It’s also worth being aware that there are slightly different instructions for linking, and making deposits, depending on whether you are using the main website, a desktop app, or a mobile app.

Webull hasn’t provided information about minimum or maximum deposit amounts, and from what we could see, no fees are applicable for deposits. However, there is a 1.75% fee for all withdrawals, and a daily withdrawal limit of $10,000.

ACH Bank Transfer

In a similar way to debit cards, bank accounts also need to be linked to your Webull account. As before, the instructions for doing so vary depending on how you are accessing your account.

The next part works very differently to the process we detailed in our Sleeper Markets app review. At Webull, extra steps are needed during the linking process, which include verifying two small deposits made by Webull. To complete the verification, match the deposit amounts with those shown on your bank statement and email Webull with the relevant reference number for each.

There is a maximum daily deposit limit of $200,000, and Webull also ‘holds’ all deposits made by bank transfer, so your funds won’t become available to use for four working days. However, withdrawals are typically processed within 2 to 3 business days.

Wire Transfer

Transactions made via wire transfer are a little more straightforward. There is no minimum or maximum amount applied to deposits, and Webull doesn’t charge any fees, but your bank most likely will. There are also no limits attached to withdrawals, but Webull applies a $25 flat fee, which is in addition to any bank fees you may incur.

Available Prediction Markets

So far, there are only two links relevant to prediction markets on the Webull website. Both are found under the Trading & Investing tab. The ‘Prediction Markets’ link takes you to a page which describes and explains ‘Hourlies’.

  • 📅 Event Contracts to Trade on the Website

As the name suggests, these are event contracts that have a one hour duration and you’ll find them available for the following assets:

    • NASDAQ
    • S&P 500
    • Bitcoin
    • Ethereum

  • 🏀 The ‘Sports Prediction Markets’ Link

A section about sports predictions has recently been added to the Webull site, but this only provides information, the actual event contracts can only be accessed via the mobile app. The menu on this page lists basketball, football, baseball, soccer, and tennis. During our Webull review we also saw that two of the ‘live’ events highlighted were for esports, which suggests more to come.

  • 🌍 Other Types of Prediction Markets

All other event contracts, beyond those already mentioned, which include politics, climate, and culture are exclusive to the Webull app. This isn’t immediately obvious when you first land on the Webull site, but as the brand has only just added information about sports predictions, progress looks likely to continue.

Webull Apps

Just as we found during our Coinbase app review, Webull has added prediction markets to its existing financial products on the website, desktop apps for Windows, Mac, and Ubuntu Linux, and its downloadable mobile apps.

The latter are available for iOS and Android devices and can be downloaded directly from Webull’s website, or from the Apps Store and Google Play, respectively.

It’s also worth mentioning again that you can only trade the hourly event contracts we discussed earlier from the website and desktop apps. All other types of prediction markets, including sports, politics, culture, and so on are only accessible via the mobile app.

The Main Takeaways from Our Webull Review

The most important thing you need to know is that only a limited number of prediction markets can be traded directly on the Webull website. The majority of the brand’s event contracts are only accessible via mobile apps.

That said, there is a wealth of information available on the website, and for that reason alone it’s worth exploring, which you can do using any of the links on our page banners. As well as other trading products you might be interested to learn about, there’s features like the Webull 9.0 simulator, and relevant news articles to enjoy too.
