On Kalshi, the market is currently trading at 46% for a ‘Yes’ contract on the new James Bond movie releasing prior to July 1, 2028. The overall trading volume as it currently stands is also razor-thin, which indicates that traders don’t expect this movie to release for quite some time.
Prediction markets are subject to change, as new information could come out at any time. James Bond is also a billion-dollar movie franchise, so don’t expect the studio to rush into anything either.
What We Think Will Happen
Denis Villeneuve is a busy person who’s already at the helm of other major projects. In late 2025, Villeneuve also finished filming on Dune III, which releases in December 2026.
With multiple films in development, which require Villeneuve’s attention, it appears that MGM Studios will have to be patient and accommodate his schedule.
Also, having yet to announce Daniel Craig’s replacement, principal photography for the next Bond film is simply nowhere in sight.
