The Onyx Predictions app is preparing to launch. While we do not have an official release date, it could drop at any time. So, in advance of its release, we’re looking at what you might find in the prediction markets.
Top Onyx Predictions Alternative for October
Coming up, we will give you a few ideas on what might be available in the upcoming prediction markets section. As Onyx Predictions is going to be attached to the established Onyx Odds, we do know a few things about the brand’s legitimacy. So, we can give you an honest account of a few things while estimating some others.

Onyx Predictions Is Expected to Be As Trustworthy As Onyx Odds
As we have already mentioned at the outset, Onyx Predictions is part of Onyx Odds. We already know a fair bit about the brand itself, so let’s look at the brand’s reputation and trustworthiness that we can expect to roll over to Onyx Predictions before we look at anything else. After all, the brand’s reputation is solid.
CFTC-regulated
Onyx Predictions is already CFTC-registered, so it has all the appropriate oversight it needs to operate safely in the US. Due to being CFTC-regulated, Onyx Predictions will be available in 45 US states. That said, there will be a few state restrictions for specific prediction markets, as a result of local regulations. Just like we saw in our
Gemini Predictions review, Onyx Predictions is going to operate under the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Also, it’s a member of the NFA (National Futures Association).
Trusted Parent Company
Onyx Predictions is owned by Tsos Technologies Inc., which also operates Onyx Odds. Since Onyx Odds is already a site that we have reviewed before, we are pretty familiar with the company. It’s great to see that the details of the parent company are accessible on the Onyx Predictions website, so you can 100% verify the information you need. When a company is transparent like this, it’s certainly a green flag.
A Snapshot of the Onyx Predictions Markets You Might Find
After browsing the homepage of the website, we can already see that sports are going to be the main attraction at Onyx Predictions. Onyx Predictions has already announced that you will find plenty of pre-game and live sports contracts. Sports markets are going to be split into two core sections: Team Picks and Player Picks. If you wish, you will also be able to combine multiple picks into one selection.
Within the sports category, we expect to find a long list of available sports and events, just like we found during our recent
ADI PredictStreet app review. While the sports have not yet been announced, we will be surprised if soccer, basketball, baseball, and golf are not on the list.
In addition to sports, we will be surprised if there are no other prediction market categories. Most prediction market sites tend to provide contracts within the following categories:
Politics
Economics
Culture
Finance
Climate
Crypto
Technology & Science
Of course, we can’t be sure exactly what categories will be available yet, but we can expect a few of the above to be included. Depending on how in-depth Onyx Predictions wants to be, you may even see categories like Mentions, Elections, and more.
The Desktop Website Should Be Functional and Perform Well
If Onyx Odds is anything to go by, the Onyx Predictions website is going to be smooth and offer a stunning user experience. We are expecting a clean website with a modern finish. Everything should have its own place, making it super easy for traders to make their way around the categories. As we already know, there is going to be pre-game and live sports contracts; we firmly believe this will split into two sections for your ease.
If Onyx Predictions follows the layout of most prediction market sites, you will most likely find the list of categories across the top of the page. Filters are likely going to vary depending on the category, so these are typically within the dedicated categories.
As for managing your account settings, we expect to find a profile button sitting in the top corner of the page, too. This is most likely going to be where you manage your limits, such as deposit limits and so on.
There Will Be an iOS App Available
Onyx Predictions has already confirmed that an iOS app will be available to install directly from the Apple App Store and the Onyx Predictions website. What isn’t confirmed yet is the arrival of an Android app. However, we do expect to see one, considering that Onyx Odds has both iOS and Android apps. The reason why this can be expected is that sites that roll out additional products tend to offer a similar user experience throughout.
We would love to see the Onyx Predictions app to be separate from Onyx Odds, but this isn’t a dealbreaker. Ideally, you will be able to register an account with Onyx Predictions as a standalone app. That said, we can see the benefit of having an all-in-one app that gives you access to all Onyx-owned products. So, it comes down to personal preference in the end.

Will There Be Any Onyx Predictions Bonuses and Promotions?
We have not been given any details on possible rewards, so we are in the dark here. That said, we can make a few assumptions based on other prediction market sites. While an
Onyx Predictions bonus
will be great to see, it’s not necessarily going to happen. More and more prediction market sites are rolling out welcome bonuses and other promotions, but it’s not commonplace. What we mean by this is that plenty of prediction market sites have decided not to offer any type of bonus, so we have no way of knowing what direction Onyx Predictions will take.
If there is a welcome bonus, it is likely going to be a trading bonus that is linked to your initial deposit or first trade. For example, you may get a specific prediction trading bonus after you have deposited or traded a certain amount. Such as, ‘Deposit $10 and get a $20 trading bonus’.
It would also be great to see a few ongoing rewards, too. As before, these aren’t exactly widespread yet on prediction market sites, so we can’t expect them. With that in mind, it would be a nice touch to find a referral program or some form of trading milestone reward system. We have encountered tier-based reward systems before on prediction market sites, and they work pretty well.
There Should Be a Varied Mixture of Payment Methods Available
Onyx Predictions could go in any direction, but we have used Onyx Odds as a template of what to expect here. If it follows a similar approach, you can expect to see a selection of payment methods that cover all types of preferences. Like Onyx Odds, you might find credit and debit cards, e-wallets, and cryptocurrencies. While the exact list of payment methods has not yet been confirmed, the Onyx Predictions website does confirm there will be 500+ cryptocurrencies accepted. As this is the only method confirmed, cryptocurrencies might be the focus here.
We expect deposits to be processed instantly, regardless of which payment method you use. On the other hand, withdrawals may vary. Hopefully, there are no transaction fees added either. As for the minimum and maximum limits, we hope that they will cover all types of traders. For instance, we would like to see low minimum deposit and withdrawal requirements, as this will allow casual traders to get involved in the same way as everyone else.
Customer Support Needs to Be Easily Accessible
We hope that no trader ever runs into a major issue, but if it happens, you need to trust that the support team is going to be available. We would like to see a live chat that is open to all traders. Onyx Predictions would get bonus points from us if the live chat is accessible without opening an account to aid with pre-registration questions.
There should also be an email address available because not everyone wants to (or can) sit around waiting for a response. Even if live chats are fast, they are not for everyone. If an email is available, it should offer responses within 24 hours or so, just like what we found in our
Meta Arena predictions markets
review. Hopefully there will also be an FAQ page to offer self-help articles for basic questions and issues. It’s a real pain to jump on live chat for simple questions, so fingers crossed that this will be avoided.
Onyx Predictions Is Expected to Be a Great Addition to the Prediction Markets Scene
In our opinion, there can never be too many prediction market sites. So, it is great to see yet another brand popping up on the scene. All prediction market sites bring something new to the table, so we are excited to see where this goes. If our assumptions are correct, there should be a focus on sports, along with a list of other categories, too. These markets should cover the likes of crypto, finance, politics, and culture, for example.
It would be great to see a welcome bonus, but we are not holding our breath. Welcome offers are not available across the board at all prediction market sites yet, so it shouldn’t be expected. Nevertheless, it would be nice to see some form of trading bonus available, whether it is for new or existing traders.
Onyx Predictions is not live yet, but you can register your email for early access. You can do this by tapping the promotional banners on this page and providing your email within the designated box. You will then get an email when you can jump on and get involved.
Onyx Predictions Review FAQs
The full list of categories has not been confirmed, so we used our experience of recent reviews like the
Plus500 review
to weigh up the possibilities. We expect to see sports, crypto, politics, culture, and climate contracts available.
Onyx Predictions is expected to follow the same process as all other prediction market sites. You should be able to buy an event contract to place your prediction. If you are correct, you should get a $1 settlement.
As of right now, there is no official launch date. That said, as soon as we hear the news, we will update you right here.
