This is the hugely anticipated project from Meta (the brand behind Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp) that aims to take on the prediction markets trend. As such, you’ll be able to download the app and then make your predictions on a variety of real-world events including sports, politics, culture and beyond.
While the details about the project are still scarce, it looks like Meta boss, Marc Zuckerberg, has already assembled a team to create the app that looks to be top priority for the brand.
Plus there are signs that potential partnerships are being sought with established prediction markets giants such as Polymarket and Kalshi. Whether it will be able to catch up with the likes of
Gemini Predictions prediction markets
remains to be seen, but Arena is promising to significantly shake up the realm.
The Meta Arena app is expected to work a little differently from what you get at somewhere like
Rolr prediction markets. This is because it looks like Arena will let you make your predictions using a kind of points-based system rather than your own cash.
As a result, the Meta Arena app won’t have to have the same kind of regulation from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission that is featured at places like
Webull prediction markets. Instead, the use of points will make it more like a video game where you make real-world predictions.
Plus there is expected to be plenty of social features that will seamlessly slot into Meta’s other products such as Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Messenger. With over 3.5 billion daily uses on these platforms, it should give Arena access to a potentially massive market.
Interestingly this isn’t the first attempt by Mark Zuckerberg at jumping on the prediction markets bandwagon. Meta Forecast was launched in 2020 as a points-based prediction app, but it failed to reach a significant audience and was closed down just two years later.
However, the prediction markets realm has changed significantly since then and the industry has already created a trading volume in excess of $130 this year alone. This is a marked increase on the $50 billion that was generated in the whole of 2025 and suggests that the time could be right for Meta Arena to make its move. However, with other brands such as DraftKings and FanDuel also making their presence felt, it’s only going to get more competitive.
It’s still too early to say how Meta Arena will compete with other prediction markets brands like the one featured in our
Interactive Brokers review, but it sure to have a big impact when it lands.
Naturally, we will be updating this guide with more information as soon as we get it. So watch this space to see if you can pick up any kind of Meta Arena prediction market promo when the brand finally makes its public launch.
