Event contract trading at Gemini Predictions bears a strong resemblance to how prediction markets at MooMoo work. To share some examples of different contract types, at the time of writing, Gemini was offering contracts on “Which party will win the US Senate?”, with the “Republican Party” or “Democratic Party” available as trading options several months in advance. While range-based contracts, such as “Bitcoin price by 2pm today?” with eight potential outcomes to trade on – such as “$64,500 or above” – were advertised just a few minutes before the stated deadline.

At the time of writing, Gemini Predictions’ “Prediction Markets FAQ” page indicates that event contracts always trade between $0 and $0.99, depending on the market’s view of how likely a prediction will happen. Correct contracts settle at a fixed $1 if the outcome occurs, or close at $0 if it doesn’t. As a trader, you can buy and sell as many contracts as you like until closing. Although naturally, it’s important to be aware of the potential risks involved beforehand, and to set yourself sensible limits.

It also features a “Live” page which displays shorter-term contract options, such as five and fifteen-minute cryptocurrency markets, all in one place. In all, the site has a simple design and is relatively easy to navigate.

Is There a Gemini Predictions App?

Yes – if you’re using a smartphone or tablet, we found that you can trade event contracts with Gemini using their generic “Gemini Markets” iOS or Android app. This can be achieved simply by navigating to the “Predictions” section after downloading it.

At the time of writing, Gemini’s app has a 4.8 star rating on the App Store, and a 4.0 star average on Google Play. We found that both versions load up quickly and offer all the same features as Gemini Predictions’ website. However, significantly more scrolling is required to cycle through all the trading categories when you’re using a smaller screen. While the app generally uses a dark mode theme, in contrast to the white background and black and gray text used by the website.

Customer Support – What Options Are Currently Available?

We did not encounter any Gemini prediction market promotions at the time of writing. However, the site has previously advertised time-sensitive event contract trading bonuses in the past, such as NFL playoffs trading credits, which have since expired. Payment Options – How to Fund Your Prediction Trading Account

Gemini Predictions primarily requires prediction traders to trade event contracts using USD, rather than cryptocurrencies. As such, we found that it’s possible to link a bank account, debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal from your account page, with processing times varying depending on your funding method.

Debit cards and Google/Apple Pay currently offer the fastest funding times, at 15 minutes maximum. While if you are using Wire or ACH transfer instead, you may need to wait between one and five business days for your funds to be made available for trading.

As for withdrawals, ACH bank transfer is available with a typical processing time of four to five business days. While wire transfer is marginally faster, generally taking between one and three business days. Please note that trading fees, taker fees and maker fees may sometimes apply.
