Can You Collect a Welcome Bonus If You Join Crypto.com?

Yes – their current offer provides you with up to 1 BTC, although this only applies to standard trading and not to prediction markets. According to the details provided on their website, you must create an account via their app and achieve the mission trading target provided. You will have 30 days to do this. If you reach the target (noted as $100 or $500, depending on jurisdiction), you will receive the rewards due, with a maximum of 1 Bitcoin worth of CRO available.

We did not find details of jurisdictional availability within the US, although you can download the app in most US states, with New York and Arizona being the exceptions at present. You will receive details of the target upon creating your account, however.

It’s also important to note that residents of Nevada, Ohio, Michigan, Maryland, Massachusetts, Illinois, and New Jersey are not allowed to trade on Sports contracts. However, as of April 6, 2026, a Third Circuit Court of Appeals ruling found that federal law likely preempts state-level sports betting bans for CFTC-regulated exchanges, a decision that directly protects Kalshi’s New Jersey operations, and may extend to other CFTC-regulated platforms like Crypto.com facing similar state challenges.

Conversely, users in Wisconsin should exercise caution; as of April 24, 2026, the Wisconsin DOJ has filed a lawsuit against Crypto.com and other platforms seeking to halt sports event trading in the state

You must be aged 18 or over to participate. Furthermore, we noted that we had to claim the reward bonus before the 30 days were over, otherwise it would disappear. Take note of the time remaining to you when you access the app. One final caveat here before we move on with the rest of our Crypto.com prediction markets review – you can only claim this welcome bonus if you do not sign up using a referral code.

We did not need to add a Crypto.com promo code at the signup stage either, but we can recommend our separate article on that topic should you require further information.

Latest Crypto.com News (Updated 08/13/2026)

  • Crypto.com Scraps “Truth Predict” Plans With Trump Media: In early August 2026, Crypto.com and Trump Media confirmed they’ve abandoned “Truth Predict,” a planned prediction market platform embedded in Truth Social. Trump Media’s Acting CEO Kevin McGurn cited an overcrowded, competitive field, while Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek said the plans “don’t make sense under current market conditions.” Trump Media is pivoting to promoting Crypto.com’s existing prediction products to Truth Social’s users instead.
  • Crypto.com’s OG Sues Washington State: On July 24, 2026, Crypto.com’s prediction markets business (operating as OG / North American Derivatives Exchange) filed suit against Washington’s Attorney General in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, seeking a declaration that state gambling law can’t reach its CFTC-regulated event contracts. The move came after Washington courts granted a preliminary injunction against competitor Kalshi, and OG is trying to head off similar enforcement before it happens. No ruling has been issued yet as of the filing.
  • Robinhood in Talks to Add Crypto.com’s Prediction Markets to Its Platform: According to a Wall Street Journal report, Robinhood is in discussions with Crypto.com to bring Crypto.com’s prediction market offerings into Robinhood’s own prediction hub, letting Robinhood users place yes-or-no trades on Crypto.com’s markets directly through Robinhood’s interface. No agreement has been finalized yet.
  • Citadel Securities Invests $400 Million in Crypto.com: On July 16th 2026, Citadel Securities announced a $400 million strategic investment in Crypto.com, valuing the company at $20 billion, marking Crypto.com’s first institutional funding round since its 2016 founding. Per Crypto.com’s own announcement, the capital is earmarked to expand into tokenized securities, derivatives, prediction markets, and tokenized real-world asset.
  • Prospect Markets Signs LOI to Enter US Prediction Markets: On July 7, 2026, sports-focused platform Prospect Markets announced a non-binding letter of intent with Crypto.com to launch sports-based event contracts through OG Broker (a Crypto.com-affiliated CFTC-registered Futures Commission Merchant) and the North American Derivatives Exchange, operating under the OG Prediction Markets/CDNA brands. The deal targets a Q3 2026 launch and is still contingent on definitive agreements and regulatory approvals.
  • Limited Financial Institutions License Secured: Crypto.com received a Limited Financial Institutions license in Europe, allowing it to continue offering its stablecoin services across the European Union under a compliant framework. This builds on the EEA-wide passporting rights Crypto.com’s Malta entity secured under MiCA back in January 2025.

Since prediction markets are fast-moving, it makes sense for Crypto.com to provide apps for both iOS and Android devices. We have noted the basic information in the table below for reference.

App Rating Number of Reviews
iOS app 4.7 out of 5 in the App Store 322,000+ reviews
Android app 4.4 out of 5 in the Google Play Store 687,000+ reviews

You can see that thousands of people have reviewed each app, giving weight to the positive ratings in each store. Currently, you can only download the iOS app for iPhone and not for the iPad. Conversely, Google Play provides downloads for phone, Chromebook, and tablet, with the phone version achieving the best reviews of them all. In all cases, Crypto.com has a legit app for users to access. Note that you can sign up from most US states at present, with New York and Arizona being the outliers in that respect.

We found extensive information contained in the Crypto.com app, so once we had created an account, we spent some time looking around to become more familiar with the layout. It’s a sensible option, as you can use many other services provided by them alongside prediction markets. If you only intend to try those, as we did while compiling this Crypto.com prediction markets review, make sure you look for the Predict tab.

Once you use that, you will find yourself in the relevant part of the app where you can familiarize yourself with how to take part. It cuts out a lot of the noise from other services they provide. You can always research those later once you have learned more about the prediction markets aspect. We feel this is the best way to get the most out of the app from the start.

How Does Crypto.com Work?

Crypto.com combines multiple trading features in one app, including a dedicated section for prediction markets. Here, users can explore areas such as the Crypto.com sports prediction market, as well as contracts tied to crypto prices, economic indicators, and political events. There’s also a newer category for financials, along with a culture section marked as “coming soon”, which suggests the platform is still expanding its range of markets.

Each market is built around event contracts, where you take a position on whether something will happen, like a team winning a major event or Bitcoin reaching a specific price level. Instead of fixed odds, prices shift based on buying and selling activity, similar to how a stock price moves. So rather than just making a prediction, you’re trading on how likely that outcome is at any given moment.

Predict Yes or No for Each Outcome

Prediction markets are based on potential outcomes. Crypto.com provides a range of contracts in various areas. If you find a contract you are interested in, you then need to decide whether to choose Yes or No. This indicates whether you believe the contract will occur or not. For example, you may see a contract stating that Bitcoin will reach a certain value by a specific time of the day.

You will either agree with that statement or not. If you agree, you will predict Yes. If you disagree, you will predict No. Furthermore, you can participate in prediction markets via Crypto.com in most states at present, making it far more accessible to more people.

Familiarizing Yourself with the Fee Structure

We’ve put together a separate guide on Crypto.com fees, which provides extensive information on that topic. We found fees based on $1 and $10 contracts, with information in the table below indicating fees for each eventuality.

A Straightforward, User-friendly Format

As part of our Crypto.com prediction markets review process, we spent some time assessing the service and what it was like to use. You can only access the prediction markets portion of the service via the app, but as we’ve seen, downloading it was straightforward. We found the Predict tab to the right of the main menu area inside the app, so it was easy to access it and start looking around for some contracts.

They’ve opted for a dark backdrop, which works well, and you can select the relevant prediction markets area you are interested in once inside the Predict tab. You’ll then see yes/no options for each contract, along with the price for each. It’s worth noting that the service is still relatively new, with confirmation that they are still adding new contracts, so you may see a bigger selection if you return on a different day.

Even for newcomers, we feel the prediction markets option is straightforward to understand, and much of that is down to the attention given by Crypto.com to ensure the app format is easy to access, view, and use.

Is Crypto.com Secure?

We were keen to assess the licensing and legality elements of the website before proceeding with the rest of our detailed review. We found a complete set of terms and conditions specifically covering the US website and app, running to 77 pages in all. While it is a long document, we recommend you read it to be fully aware of all aspects of the service.

  • 🗃️ Ownership Details

Crypto.com is owned and operated by Foris DAX Inc., based in Delaware, USA. They currently provide the service throughout most US states – the exceptions being New York and Arizona. You cannot currently download the app or create an account if you are a resident of either state. The main website includes a large menu section at the bottom labeled Company. We noted a section there covering Licenses and Registrations, where we were able to confirm that they hold all relevant licenses in the US. These include a Derivatives Clearing Organization license (DCO) and a Designated Contracts Market license (DCM). Thus, they have provided participants with clarity and confidence of a reliable and trusted service providing prediction markets and more, and one that adheres to all regulations covering Crypto.com.

  • 🔍 Verifying Communications

One final key piece of information to provide you with – find the verify link at the bottom of that Company column. If you receive any communications purporting to be from the company, you can enter the details on that page to confirm if they are genuine. This helps protect you against any malicious communications you may receive from other sources, and is an excellent addition to the Crypto.com website.

Sponsored by Crypto.com – Not investment advice. Trading prediction markets and crypto involves risk, including potential loss of your stake. Consider your risk tolerance before participating. Crypto.com connects U.S. users to CDNA (regulated by CFTC) for derivatives trading. CDNA membership required. Trading may not be suitable for all—you could lose your entire investment plus fees. Past performance doesn’t guarantee future results. This is not a solicitation or recommendation to trade.

Reviewing the Necessary Payment Information at Crypto.com

Before you can participate in prediction markets, you need to set up a cash account with Crypto.com, which you can do via the app. You can then learn more about how to fund your account and how to withdraw any funds if you wish.

Making a Deposit

As a US resident, you should find that you can make valid deposits at Crypto.com via bank transfer, wire transfer, debit card, PayPal, or via a cryptocurrency wallet. Most deposit methods do not incur fees, although you may be charged a percentage of the deposit amount if you choose a card or PayPal.

When you view the available deposit methods inside the app, you should see confirmation of whether you need to pay a fee for a specific method, and if so, how much it will be. We appreciated this clarity. Don’t forget to check with your payment provider or crypto wallet to see whether they have their own fees as well.

Making a Withdrawal

Having researched the topic inside their help center, we noted we had just one way of completing a withdrawal at present. This involved requesting an ACH bank transfer. You’ll need to convert your crypto to USD before you can do this, which you can complete inside the app. You’ll then need to link your bank account using Plaid, and once that is complete, you can request a withdrawal.

Our Crypto.com Prediction Markets Review of Their Customer Service Features

We’ve covered lots of information already – enough to suggest there is much to learn about prediction markets if you’re new to the idea. Fortunately, the Crypto.com team recognizes this and has provided ample amounts of information to support you when you’re new and throughout your time using their service. When you visit the website, note the Resources column in the lower menu. Here’s what we found when we examined it more closely.

  • 🔍 Exploring the help center

You can access the Support option from the Resources menu to reach it. We noted a series of most-read articles at the top, along with a search box to help us reach pertinent topics we wanted more information about. Having tested the search facility, we found we received different results depending on the nature of our search, namely if we entered a word or an entire sentence. Worth noting if you want to ensure you get the fullest set of useful results.

They also provide several panels, each covering a specific topic. We recommend accessing the cash account panel (with 44 articles at the time of writing) to get all the details you require about creating this account, ready to make a deposit. We spent some time looking around the help center when writing this Crypto.com prediction markets review and found it very helpful.

  • 📚 Accessing their University

You may find this section useful if you want some more basic information and articles about crypto, trending topics, and trading. We also found a useful glossary there, along with a security section. You’ll notice it feels more like a blog, but it’s packed with useful articles if you want to expand your knowledge.

  • 💬 Getting in touch

You can see how much information you can go through via the help center and the University at Crypto.com. Despite all this, you may still wish to get in touch at some point. We found an email address (support@crypto.com) mentioned throughout many pages in the help center. You can also try the live chat facility once you have logged into your account. You can do this via the website along with the app. We did note that the live chat sent us to a chat bot for starters, but we did have the opportunity to chat with a human as well.

We made a note of various queries we had while reviewing the app and website, but soon found all the answers somewhere within the help center. It’s one of the largest we have ever seen, and we believe it should be, given the relative complexity of the services on offer. There’s plenty of support at Crypto.com, no matter how you decide to access it.

A Crypto.com Review of Their Level Up Program

Our research found evidence of a Rewards program on the site, but this was discontinued in early November 2025. However, it has been superseded by the Level Up program. This is not the same as a traditional loyalty or VIP program, but it remains the closest you can get to it. We noted four levels included within the program:

  • Basic
  • Plus
  • Pro
  • Private

According to the latest details we have for this Crypto.com prediction markets review, the Basic plan does not appear to have any costs involved with it. However, the remaining three levels do involve a monthly subscription. We’ve provided some basic details in the table below.

Level Monthly Cost Annual Cost Lockup Option?
Plus $4.99 $49.90 Yes – $500
Pro $29.99 $299.90 Yes – $5,000
Private – – Requires a 12-month CRO lockup of $50,000 (5% card cashback) or $500,000 (6% card cashback), plus 4.0% APY on idle cash at either tier.

You do not need to progress from the Basic level when you join. You can decide to sign up for this program at any level and at any point in the future. As you’d expect, you will receive various perks at each level, but the key advantage is having zero trading fees across the board. We noted a cap on these, which works as follows:

  • Plus – $20,000 monthly cap
  • Pro – $50,000 monthly cap
  • Private – unlimited per month

One final point to note here – we read that there is a flexible cancellation policy for this feature. We suspect only dedicated and regular users will consider anything other than the Basic membership level, but it is something to potentially scale up to in future if desired.
