He is set to replace Jonas Mattsson, who has acted as the company’s CFO since 2015 but recently decided not to renew his contract beyond its current term.
Mattsson will continue to support Zeal as a special adviser until early 2024, in order to ensure a seamless transition period.
Under the role, Bielski will assume responsibility for Zeal Network’s finance, investor relations and ESG functions.
He joins from German energy supplier Energiekonzepte Deutschland GmbH, where he has acted as CFO since December 2022.
Prior to that role, Bielski was CFO for loan agency Smava GmbH, between 2015 and 2022.
Before that, he acted as VP of corporate finance and chief strategy officer for online food delivery service Delivery Hero.
Overall, Bielski boasts more than 10 years’ experience in leading management functions at high-growth, consumer-focused online companies, as well as eight years in investment banking and private equity, Zeal said.
“With Sebastian Bielski we are very happy to welcome an experienced financial expert and leadership personality to our management board,” said Zeal Network chairman Peter Steiner.
“I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank Jonas Mattsson for more than eight years of dedication to Zeal and for his leadership with strategic milestones such as the acquisition and integration of LOTTO24 and successful investments in future growth fields.”
Zeal Network CEO Helmut Becker added: “I am looking forward to working with Sebastian as our newest member of the management board.
“With his capital market expertise and broad experience in building high-growth businesses, he is a perfect fit for Zeal who can support us with our ambitious growth agenda.”
Sebastian Bielski said: “I would like to thank the supervisory board of Zeal for placing their trust in me.
“I am looking forward to taking on my new responsibilities and working together with the very ambitious management board team. Zeal is an extraordinary success story, and I am excited to accompany Zeal on its future growth path.”
