PointsBet has today (1 June) announced changes to its global leadership team including the appointment of a new group chief technology officer and Australian CEO.

Dr Jerry Bowskill will join the organisation on 18 July as global chief technology officer, taking over responsibilities from Manjit Gombra-Singh, formerly president of product and technology, who transitions into a non-executive director for the firm effective today.

Singh joined the company in 2019 having previously acted as CTO and executive vice president of Aristocrat.

PointsBet chairman Brett Paton commented that Singh “has made a significant contribution to our technology and cyber security capabilities, increasing the speed and reliability of our product offerings and spearheading our technology strategy, including the development of our iGaming vertical. 

“Given his industry experience and leadership skills, I have no doubt that Manjit will continue to make a valuable contribution to the board.”

Singh’s replacement Jerry Bowskill joins the business from asset management firm Capital International Group, where he serves as executive director and CTO. Previously, Bowskill held CTO positions at both The Stars Group and Scientific Games subsidiary SG Interactive.

Bowskill has also held senior roles at Playtech, Gaming Technologies Solutions and Partis Solutions.

Commenting on the appointment of Dr Bowskill, PointsBet Group CEO Sam Swanell said: “We are very pleased that a senior executive of Jerry’s quality and experience is joining PointsBet.

In addition to changes at the top of PointsBet’s technology team, the firm has also announced the appointment of Andrew Catterall as its Australian CEO, effective as of 4 July.

Catterall is the former CEO of Racing.com, where PointsBet said he led the business through a major transformation in broadcasting, digital media, rights acquisition, audience development and commercial growth. Prior to Racing.com, Mr Catterall held senior leadership positions at Racing Victoria and the Australian Football League (AFL).
