MGM appoints new president of Interactive division and chairman of LeoVegas

MGM Resorts International has named Gary Fritz as the president of its Interactive division and chairman of the recently acquired LeoVegas.
Fritz, who previously served as head of gaming for IAC, was responsible for leading MGM’s $607m acquisition of LeoVegas which completed last month.
He has also led global strategy and expansion plans for multinational companies including TripAdvisor and Expedia, having started his career at McKinsey and Company.In his new role, Fritz will be responsible for MGM Interactive’s growth strategies, including both organic growth and M&A opportunities, the firm said.
He will become a member of MGM’s executive committee, as well as a member of the board of directors of BetMGM and chairman of the board of LeoVegas.

MGM completed its acquisition of LeoVegas in September, intending to diversify its online gambling operation outside the US and enter other operational markets including Europe.
The purchase also saw MGM gain access to LeoVegas’ proprietary casino software, built on its in-house platform Rhino.
