Reactivation provider Enteractive has secured backing from US-based venture capital fund Bettor Capital.

The investment aims to fuel Enteractive’s business development efforts in key growth markets such as the US and Canada.

Describing the investment as “non-controlling”, Enteractive said the new partnership aligns with its existing global strategy.

VC firm Bettor Capital focuses on backing technology suppliers in the real-money gaming industry.

The firm holds investments in various iGaming businesses, including data and AI provider Future Anthem, online lottery ticket platform Jackpot.com, and payment infrastructure provider Interchecks.

“We’re thrilled to bring Bettor Capital on board as a strategic investor as we continue to expand within the North American market”, said Enteractive CEO Mikael Hansson (pictured).

“We have built a strong relationship with the Bettor Capital team and believe that they will bring significant value alongside our existing investors,” he added.

“We’re not disclosing any numbers, but it’s a very important investment for us as it strengthens our mission to support American operators in the best way possible, with US investors onboard,” Hansson told NEXT.io when contacted for further details about the investment amount.

Rationale for the investment

Bettor Capital managing partner David VanEgmond highlighted the growing emphasis on player retention and reactivation as the US online gambling markets mature.

“Enteractive’s proprietary software powers real one-to-one conversations with players that deliver demonstrable and meaningful ROI for operators as they re-engage customers that may be considered to have churned; with a responsible gambling approach baked into this model, this is a clear win-win for the industry,” he said.

He added that Enteractive has established a “global blue chip customer base and market leadership position” and is primed for continued growth, particularly in large and high-growth markets like North America.

Founded in 2008, Enteractive has experienced significant growth, securing numerous operator clients globally.

The firm has also established a strong presence in the North American market since opening its first US office in 2022, collaborating with industry players such as Rush Street Interactive, Penn Entertainment, Playstar, and Resorts Digital Gaming.

In 2022, Enteractive also secured a multi-million euro equity investment from Yolo Investments.
