BeyondPlay selected for showcase at TechCrunch Startup Battlefield
From thousands of applications, 200 companies have been selected by TechCrunch, which said it aimed to find “the game-changing startups most likely to have a positive impact on the world.”
In a post shared on LinkedIn, BeyondPlay CEO Karolina Pelc said that amid the development and launch of its flagship products, the company had “made a conscious decision to hold off on applying for any industry awards.”
However, the company had its heart set on the Startup Battlefield, but when applying for the accolade Pelc saw the chance as “nothing more than a long shot,” she wrote.BeyondPlay’s team is “incredibly humbled to achieve this milestone and achieve this recognition,” she added.
BeyondPlay’s flagship B2B multiplayer product “aims to raise the stakes in the entertainment value game by transforming solitary game sessions into engaging, multiplayer entertainment experiences with community, real-time sharing and togetherness at heart,” according to a statement on its website.
Meanwhile, the company first launched its jackpot-related product in partnership with Casumo earlier this year in May.
TechCrunch Disrupt’s Startup Battlefield will take place in San Francisco from 19-21 September.
