Betano today (10 May) launched in the UK through a deal between BVGroup and Kaizen Gaming.

The launch, which was first announced in April, sees BetVictor provide customer support and the use of its proprietary technology to the Kaizen-owned brand.

Betano is already live in various jurisdictions in Europe, Africa and the Americas, notably Brazil where it is one of the largest operators by market share.

Kaizen CCO Julio Iglesias Hernando said: “Finding the right partner has been a top priority for us and this is exactly what we did with the well-established and reputable BVGroup.

“As we expand our footprint globally, we’re excited to unveil the Betano brand in the UK alongside BVGroup and are equally enthusiastic for what the future will bring.”

The news comes following a Betano front-of-shirt sponsorship agreement Kaizen signed with Aston Villa last month.

This came alongside the business opting to become one of the official sponsors for the upcoming UEFA 2024 Euros.

BVGroup CCO Brent Almeida added: “We are delighted to have partnered with Kaizen Gaming and launched its Betano brand in the UK market. This is the latest in a long line of successful launches for BVGroup.

“We are confident that our technology and operating capabilities will give Betano customers a safe and entertaining gaming experience.”

Betano has previously been floated as a potential acquisition target for Flutter Entertainment, with the business hinting that it may use M&A to attain market share in Brazil.

Analysts at JMP Securities said in April: “In our view, M&A will be on the table with several larger, local brands operating in the country already, including companies like Betnacional and Betano, whereby Flutter can leverage its technology and balance to improve the scale of a business with local ties.”
