Playzee is an online casino and bookmaker operated by
White Hat Gaming Limited
and it has a license from the
UK Gambling Commission. We’ve been testing its bookmaker features this week to see what it offers.
Our first impressions were positive, but we’ve created a full Playzee review that looks at the sports betting quality and variety, plus other important features like its legitimacy and security. If you read on, you’ll see our thoughts and findings, and whether we recommend this site for UK customers or not.
First, after making sure the bookmaker was legit, we looked at what it offers in terms of betting variety and sports markets. It really does have a great selection, and we think that regardless of what sports or teams you follow, you should be able to find suitable betting markets.
It Features 20+ Sports Markets
For this Playzee review, we looked at the overall sports markets this operator supports to gain an idea of the variety UK customers can enjoy, and we found the following:
Football, basketball, ice hockey, rugby, specials, motorsports, snooker, tennis, handball, volleyball, cricket, darts, baseball, golf, boxing, table tennis, MMA, esports, cycling, Aussie Rules, badminton, Bandy, cross-country, Floorball, Futsal, waterpolo, Gaelic Games, Short Football, LaCrosse, American Football, Biathlon, and Alpine Skiing.
This is all the most popular professional sports you can expect a site to have, and we didn’t see anything obvious that was missing. For each sport, you have a solid selection of leagues and competitions, for both domestic and international matches.
There Is a Varied Set of Betting Options
We then checked the betting variety and found the following standard options:
Outrights/Singles.
Line/Spread bets.
Accas/Parlays.
Bet Builders/Same Game Parlays.
These are available for most sports, but we found that the bet builder wagers were sometimes not available for the less popular sports that had fewer proposition bets. In terms of the betting variety of individual games, we found multiple team and player proposition selections, such as the following for football games:
No. of corners.
No. of bookings.
1st half and 2nd half splits.
Combo bets.
First goal.
Draw no bet.
Handicap bets.
The Live Betting Setup Works Great
We were also impressed with the live betting setup and you can generally find live markets for all the sports they feature at Playzee. On most of the games, there is a visually impressive animated game render which shows the flow of the action and key plays, plus a host of stats you can use.
Is Playzee Bookmaker Legit? Reviewing Licensing and Other Features
We only work with reputable brands who operate legitimately, so with that in mind, we checked out the Playzee core features including its gambling license, security, and customer support options.
Licensing
Playzee Bookmaker is fully licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. It operates under gambling license 52894. Not only that, but it has a license from the Malta Gaming Authority under license number MGA/B2C/370/2017. This means that it can legally accept UK customers who are over 18, and offer its bookmaker and online casino services. In terms of ownership, the brand is operated by White Hat Gaming Limited which is registered in Malta under company number C73232.
Customer Support
While creating this Playzee review we found several customer support options including a live chat and email support. The live chat icon is found in the bottom left-hand corner of the site. Click this and you can get connected to someone within a few minutes after entering your name and email address. We tested the live chat responsiveness throughout the week, and it looks to be monitored 24/7. Email responses are slower, and you can expect to wait 3-4 hours or longer for a reply. Lastly, you can use the help center to manually search for support topics – we especially found this useful for information on payments and promotions.
Banking
Playzee Bookmaker accepts a comprehensive range of payment methods for deposits and withdrawals including Visa, Trustly, PaySafeCard, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, MasterCard, Bank Transfer, Apple Pay, and Much Better. They also have acceptable minimum deposit and withdrawal limits of £10 which means that you get payment flexibility. We did not see any payment fees, deposits should be processed instantly, and withdrawal processing times can vary between instant to 5 business days depending on the method you use.
Security
For security, the site has excellent documentation so you can understand your rights when betting here. There is information relating to the general terms and conditions, promotional terms, privacy, cookie policy, and a complete responsible gambling section. On top of that, they have a strict complaints procedure you can follow if you have a grievance. For technical security, the site uses SSL encryption which is backed by an SSL certificate from Amazon RSA 2025 M04. We also found geoblocking features to prevent unauthorised people from accessing the site.
Does Playzee Have Any Promotions for New and Existing Customers?
We have produced a separate
Playzee promo code
review where we look exclusively at the promotions this site offers, but in this article we will briefly discuss the welcome offer and other bonuses you can find.
There Is a Dedicated Sports Betting Welcome Bonus
When we created our Playzee login, we were able to opt in to a bookmaker welcome bonus. It gave us a first deposit match bonus of ‘Bet £20 Get £20’.
This is one of the better UK bookmaker welcome bonuses available as it gives you plenty of flexibility to make the bets you want. It’s not the largest signup bonus we’ve seen, but the terms are simple, and it is easy to claim. To be eligible, you need to be over 18 and to have never created an account with Playzee Bookmaker before.
18+ | New players only. Opt-in. Min deposit is £20. Offer: Place a £20 sports cash bet at minimum odds of 3/4 (1.75) or higher and receive a £20 Free Bet. Free bet credited upon settlement of all qualifying bets. Free Bet can be redeemed on selected sports & markets and used on single or accumulator bets (min. 3 selections). Free Bet must be used at minimum odds of 4/5 (1.80). Free Bet stake is not returned with winnings. Winnings are credited as withdrawable cash. Maximum odds of 10.00 may apply. Free Bet must be used within 7 days of being credited. Affordability checks may apply. Full terms apply. | BeGambleAware.org.
The Site Also Has a Loyalty Scheme and Daily Offers
After the welcome bonus, we found a limited selection of other promotional features, including:
Zee Loyalty scheme.
Daily offers.
The Zee Loyalty scheme is straightforward and we think it’s one of the better programs of its kind. You can get Zee Points by placing wagers or playing casino games, or by making cash deposits. These Zee Points can then be used to unlock free spins for their online casino, or cash bonuses of up to £200 per month.
There is also a Zee Daily offer every day of the week and these include things like bonus Zee Points, cashback, deposit match bonuses, live casino bonuses, and free spins. We noticed that this daily feature is more targeted towards online casino customers though as opposed to bookmaker bettors.

Is the Playzee Bookmaker Easy to Use?
For our Playzee reviews we also looked at the bookmaker design and layout, plus the mobile usability. It’s one of the more robust online bookmakers we’ve found, with a logical layout, and two high-quality mobile apps.
There Are Two Playzee Mobile Apps
You can use the Playzee Bookmakers on your smartphone by downloading either the iOS or Android app. We tested both versions and they are available for direct download from the App Store or Google Play Store, or the download link on the site.
Be careful though, as there are some fake versions of the website that contain supposed app download links – these are not legitimate links. You can use the banners on this page to visit the official Playzee website.
Both apps work fine and they offer a similarly smooth betting experience as the desktop website. We like how they have managed to condense and organise the large amount of bookmaker information, and the touchscreen functionality of the different menus.
The Desktop Website Has a Clean and Modern Design
The Playzee Bookmaker desktop website has a clean interface and design that puts the emphasis on usability. While the casino has a vibrant white and green color scheme, the bookmaker tones things down and uses a grey and dark grey scheme with white and gold highlights which makes for excellent text readability.
It also follows the classic left-to-right bookmaker flow, where you have the sports categories or competitions in the left-hand menu, the betting information in the center, and your bet slip on the right. The site is technically sound too, with fast loading speeds, no missing information, and no broken links.
Our Verdict – Playzee Is a Solid Choice for Sports Fans
Not that we’ve completed our Playzee review, we can give our final recommendations. If you are looking for a comprehensive UK bookmaker that has a decent welcome bonus, multiple betting markets, and an easy-to-use website or mobile apps, Playzee is a solid and safe choice.
It doesn’t particularly excel at anything, but at the same time, it does everything well and this means you get reliability, security, and a stress-free user experience. To try the site out for yourself, we have some banners on this page – click them and go through the registration process to get signed up and get your welcome bonus.
