Design and Usability – A Rivalry Review

We’re big fans of Rivalry’s design – the black background with neon green and white accents looks super fresh and modern. It really makes everything pop on the page. But of course, looks aren’t everything. What really counts is how easy it is to use – and honestly, we’ve got no complaints there. The layout is clean and intuitive, making navigation a breeze.

Right when you land on the sportsbook homepage, you’ll see a full list of sports in the main navigation bar, along with quick links to the live betting section and a handy “Favorites” category where you can save your favorite events for later. There’s also a built-in search bar that makes it super easy to find specific sports, teams, or leagues in seconds.

Just below that, you’ll spot a “Highlights” tab that showcases current odds boosts, trending events, and popular parlays – all of which you can add to your betslip with one click. You’ll also find an “Event Builder” tab. It works a lot like the bet builder tool, but instead of combining picks from a single game, it lets you mix selections from different events into one wager.

Is Rivalry Mobile-friendly?

Yes – like what we found in our Tonybet review, Rivalry works great on mobile and tablet. You can access the site directly through your browser, no downloads required. There’s also a dedicated Rivalry app for sports bettors in Ontario. iOS users can download it from the App Store, while Android users will need to download it straight from Rivalry’s official website, since it’s not available on Google Play.

We tested the app during our Rivalry review of the casino and the betting site, and it delivers a solid experience. It’s fast, responsive, and adjusts seamlessly to different screen sizes. The layout is clean, with mobile-optimized menus that make it easy to find what you’re looking for. Plus, you get access to all the same features as the desktop site – including the event builder, bet builder, cash out, live streaming, and more.

The only real limitation we found is that you can’t sign up or log in using your Google or Facebook account on the app. You’ll need to sign up or log in using your email address instead.

Over 40 Sports to Bet on

Rivalry gets a lot of positive ratings and reviews from Canadian bettors, and a big part of that comes down to its wide range of over 40 sports. You’ll find all the major ones like hockey, basketball, soccer, tennis, baseball, MMA, etc

But what really gives Rivalry an edge is its selection of niche sports you won’t always find elsewhere, like futsal, kabaddi, pickleball, and even chess.

The one sport we were surprised to see missing is lacrosse, especially given its popularity in Canada. Still, Rivalry’s overall coverage is impressive and more than enough to satisfy most bettors.

Get Insights Where They Matter Most

Something that really impressed us about Rivalry is how you’re given expert, stats-driven tips that are tailored to the exact markets you’re looking at. It’s a smart way to offer useful insights and help you make more informed picks.

For example, while browsing a soccer game between Real Betis and Chelsea, we saw clear data points right above the relevant markets. Above the moneyline, it noted that Chelsea had won 3 of the last 4 meetings and had 4 wins in their last 5 matches. Over on the total goals market, it highlighted that 80% of Chelsea’s last 5 games had gone under 2.5 goals, while 60% of Betis games had gone over.

And when we looked at the “both teams to score” market, it pointed out that both teams had only scored in 1 of their last 4 meetings. Having these insights right where they matter most is super helpful – and to be honest, it’s not something you’ll see on many other sites.

Odds at Rivalry Canada

Rivalry’s margins sit around 7 to 8%, which is a bit higher than what we found in our PowerPlay review. That said, Rivalry often offers boosted odds on select markets – especially same-game parlays and total score bets.

These boosts usually increase the odds by around 3 to 5%, which helps offset the higher margins and brings them more in line with top competitors. You can also see how another platform odds in our Bet99 review.

By default, Rivalry displays odds in the European format, but you can easily switch to something else if you prefer.

Just scroll to the bottom of the page and use the odds format dropdown menu. You’ll be able to choose from European, American, Hong Kong, Indonesian, Malaysian, or fractional formats – whatever suits you best.

Betting Limits

Rivalry’s betting limits are pretty flexible, making it easy for both casual bettors and high rollers to get involved. You can place bets starting from just $1, with a maximum of $1,000 per bet. Just know that certain events or markets might have their own limits, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all situation.

To support responsible betting, Rivalry also lets you set deposit and loss limits. You can set these during sign-up or anytime later from your account settings. If you lower a deposit limit, the change kicks in right away. But if you increase or remove a limit, it’ll only take effect after seven days.

Live Betting and Streaming

Rivalry has a dedicated live betting section you can access by clicking the “Live” tab in the main navigation bar. What we really like about the live betting experience is that certain bets come with boosted odds, and there’s a live cash-out feature called “Chicken Out.”

Just look for the small white chicken icon in your bet slip to see if it’s available. This feature lets you settle your bet early – either partially or fully – before the event ends, so you can lock in profits or cut your losses.

We also like the “Quick Bet” option, which lets you place a bet instantly by clicking any selection. It’s super handy during live games since odds can change in seconds. The only downside? Rivalry doesn’t offer live streaming for regular sports – only for esports.

Deposits at Rivalry Ontario

At Rivalry Ontario, you can make deposits using Visa, Mastercard, or Interac. The minimum deposit amount is $15, and you’re allowed to deposit up to $25,000 within any 30-day period.

Like what we found in our Pinnacle review, Rivalry doesn’t charge any fees for deposits. That said, your bank or payment provider might charge fees – so it’s worth double-checking with them before confirming the transaction.

Here’s exactly how to make a deposit:

  1. Log in to your Rivalry Ontario account.
  2. Click on the “Wallet” button.
  3. Select the “Deposit” option.
  4. Choose your preferred deposit method (Visa, Mastercard, or Interac).
  5. Enter your payment details as prompted.
  6. Type in the amount you’d like to deposit (at least $15).
  7. Confirm the deposit.

Once your payment is processed – which usually happens instantly – your updated balance will appear in the top-right corner of the screen.

Withdrawals at Rivalry Ontario

Before you can cash out from your Rivalry Ontario account, there are a few things you’ll need to take care of first:

  • Your account must be fully verified.
  • You need to have at least $20 in your available balance.
  • You must have placed at least one bet.

Once those conditions are met, you’ll be able to withdraw funds using one of the same payment methods you’ve already used to make a deposit.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Log in to your Rivalry account.
  2. Click on the “Wallet” button.
  3. Choose the “Withdraw” option.
  4. Pick your preferred withdrawal method.
  5. Enter the amount you want to withdraw – the minimum is $20, and you can withdraw up to $25,000 within a 30-day period.
  6. Fill in any required payment details.
  7. Confirm the withdrawal request.

Most withdrawals are processed and sent out on the same day you make the request. That’s a big plus compared to many other sportsbooks, where withdrawals often take anywhere from one to three days.

Customer Support – Available 24/7 Via Live Chat

We were genuinely impressed by how good Rivalry’s customer support is. Just click the “Customer Support” button in the sidebar and you’ll be taken straight to a dedicated help center.

The help center is well-organized, with over 90 articles grouped into clear categories like sports betting, payments, account questions, and general info about Rivalry. There’s also a handy search bar that suggests the most relevant articles when you type in your issue.

If you don’t find what you’re looking for, you can contact customer support directly. They offer a few ways to get in touch:

  • Live chat
  • Email
  • Mail

Live chat is by far the fastest option. It starts with a chatbot that handles common questions, but if it can’t help after a couple of messages, you’ll be connected to a human agent. Every time we tested it, we were connected in under a minute – and the agents were friendly, helpful, and quick to respond.

Rivalry is owned by Rivalry Ontario Corp, which is fully licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and operates under an agreement with iGaming Ontario (iGO). That means, just as we found in our LeoVegas review, you’re betting with a sportsbook that’s 100% legal, regulated, and compliant with Ontario’s gambling laws.

Rivalry also takes security very seriously. Just like what we found in our Play Fallsview review, data transfers are protected with SSL encryption, keeping your personal and financial info safe. The site also undergoes regular third-party audits and uses advanced firewalls and secure payment technology to ensure its systems remain safe and trustworthy.

You can also enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for added protection against unauthorized access. And if you’re using the app, biometric options like fingerprint or facial recognition give you an extra layer of security.

Final Thought–is Rivalry Worth a Try?

Rivalry is best known for its esports betting, but it’s also a great option if you’re into traditional sports. You’ll find coverage of just about everything – from mainstream leagues to a surprisingly deep lineup of niche sports you won’t always see elsewhere. The margins might be a little higher compared to some other sites, but Rivalry makes up for it with regular boosted markets that help keep things competitive.

What we really love is how the site integrates stats-driven insights directly into the markets. It’s super helpful and makes it easier for you to place smarter bets. Throw in 24/7 live chat support, fast withdrawals, and a clean, mobile-friendly interface, and it’s clear Rivalry has put real effort into delivering a top-tier experience. If you haven’t tried it yet, now’s a great time to check it out. Just click one of the links on this page to get started.
